Artfest fever is rising!
Tomorrow we start to set up our little school hall to become a wonderland of art magnificence. Our judges, Justin Morrissey and Victor Peralta of Gallery ONE88 Fine Arts Katoomba are looking forward to viewing the array of over 240 artworks by 76 artists. What a tough choice they will have!!
Opening Night is set to be a fun night with MC Helen Thomson where the Judges’ Choice and Photography and Digital Art Awards will be revealed.
Win amazing prizes over Artfest weekend
Listen out for your opportunity to enter our 100 tickets for $100 competitions over the Artfest weekend. We will sell tickets at $1 each near the cake stall and once 100 tickets are sold, an amazing prize will be drawn. Fabulous prizes include: $100 voucher from Norm's Village Butchery; $100 voucher from It’s The Little Things Wentworth Falls; Moontree candle gift pack valued at $130; $100 voucher from Wentworth Falls Pots; $50 voucher from Longview Garden Centre + $50 voucher from The Laughing Elephant; and a family pass to 13 Storey Treehouse Production. On Opening Night our 100 for $100 will be a double pass to an Ensemble Theatre show in 2018! Save up those $1 coins and bring them along to Artfest!!!
Kids Craft Corner Competitions
Over Artfest weekend we have so many activities for the kids to keep them entertained and creative. There will be a jumping castle, facepainting with Lavender Lily on the Saturday, entertainment to watch, fabulous cakes and iced chocolates at the cafe and workshops to participate in. Along with all of this will be our Crafty Corner. For a $2 entry, kids can get creative painting pebble art or dabbling in making their own fantastic recycled art creations. From 10am-12:30pm on Saturday and Sunday, kids can enter the recycled art competition with the themes of “Robots” on the Saturday and “Aliens” on the Sunday. The art creations are to be made in the craft corner using the materials provided during the times of 10am-12:30pm. Judging will be done at 1pm each day. Kids can win some fabulous prizes including a Family Pass to 2017 School’s Spectacular at QUDOS Bank Arena, a Family Pass to Packemin Production of Shrek the Musical at Parramatta Riverside Theatre and Megalong Book Vouchers valued at $25 each. Let’s get crafty!!!
Get your bids in for a Geoff Hayes sketch!!
Our wonderful Featured Artist Geoff Hayes has kindly donated this beautiful sketch which will be silently auctioned over the weekend of Artfest. Of course Geoff’s beautiful paintings will be available for purchase and we encourage you to do so. But if you wanted to bid for your chance to own one of Geoff’s works, this beauty will be on offer. All proceeds will go directly to the educational needs of Wentworth Falls Public School. Thank you Geoff!!!
